April 12, 2001 Solar Condition & Geomagnetic Storm Advisory
Today’s large X2 Class flare from Active Region 9415 along with smaller intensity eruptions from this region has again created conditions for possible large geomagnetic storm activity over the next two days. Please find attached a PDF file containing the April 12 Advisory.
Please be advised that these several day-ahead projections have considerable uncertainty. Solar wind conditions when observed near earth will determine the severity of any geomagnetic storm activity as the plasma cloud arrives. Our customers that subscribe to this service will receive the usual continuous one-minute updates on these rapidly changing conditions.
