June 14, 2001 Solar Condition Advisory
Please find attached a PDF file with the June 14, 2001 Solar Condition Advisory. New solar activity has been developing over the past few days and is projected to continue. No large geomagnetic storm threat is obvious at this time. However, a risk of large geomagnetic storm activity is possible during the week of June 18 if present high-levels of solar activity continue.
A copy of this Storm Summary is also available at the following web site. http://www.metatech-aps.com/Advisory/SolarConditionAdvisory6_14.pdf
Also at this website are older advisories and some storm animations of prior important geomagnetic storm events so you can see the large-scale and dynamic conditions that occur during these storms for yourself. Currently we have an animation from the July 15, 2000 storm, which is the largest geomagnetic storm of this solar cycle and some animations from the historic March 13, 1989 Superstorm.
